Thanks a lot for the tips on removing items in the grey area that are not accessible. Following these steps worked for me. I struggled all last night trying to figure it out. I got up early the next morning and tried again. When I typed in the message my screen was giving me into my web browser, BAM! there was your solution to my problem.

I agree that I tend to have the most amazing ideas when doing repetitive tasks or things that don't require a lot of brain power. I've always said I think best in the shower, on the toilet, or mowing the lawn.

Just recently started using Facebook and Twitter. I find it a little more difficult to use twitter because of how rapidly the content changes. I can totally miss a post that someone "tweeted" ten minutes ago because the twenty other people I'm following posted more recent content. So it's a little hard to get used to, or to know how to follow people.

Couldn't help but post a link to a T-Shirt on this topic from a company called Despair, Inc. (the Demotivators, I'm sure you've heard of them?). Here's the shirt: http://www.despair.com/somevedi.html

I am still trying to determine the root cause of this issue. I have administrator rights on my laptop, so I can do things as root from the terminal. I have looked at a lot of things so far, but every time I think I've found the issue described online, it's not the same thing that's causing this problem on my machine. I'm glad this workaround has worked for you.

AWESOME! I had the same exact problem with a work laptop running 10.5.8. I bought a magic mouse and couldnt access the preferences to be able to enable right clicking. Your steps worked perfectly.

Thank you!

Quite honestly, I don't know how you would accomplish pausing the recording. It's streaming live, so you certainly can't stop that part, but it may be possible to divert the stream through the fifos to <code>/dev/null</code> when a button is pressed and go back again afterward.

I honestly don't have the "code fu" to do anything like that or to answer your question without a lot of fiddling and researching. I'm glad that you find the code useful, and I do appreciate your posting here with updates when you make interesting modifications.
