Guided Workflow
A full diagnostic toolkit — not just a screen of colors
Eight categories, every check explained
For Apple TV 4K running tvOS 18 or later. Controlled entirely with the Siri Remote — Select cycles the on-screen controls and the "what to look for" explanation, Play/Pause freezes motion, Menu returns to a safe neutral screen. An Apple TV 4K is recommended for HDR and 4K patterns. HDR results depend on your television and connection.
PatternScope TV is a diagnostic tool, not a repair tool — it helps you find display problems, but it cannot repair burn-in, dead pixels, or other permanent panel defects. Some patterns use bright, sustained fields, and one optional Motion test (the Flicker Helper) deliberately flashes. The flashing test is capped at a low rate, starts paused, carries a photosensitivity warning, honors the system "Reduce Flashing" setting, and is excluded from the guided workflows. If you — or anyone who can see the screen — have photosensitive epilepsy, do not use the deliberately flashing test.
