Privacy Policy

Clip to Notes does not collect any data. There is no account, no sign-in, no server belonging to this app, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

What the app does with the page you clip

When you click the Clip to Notes button in Safari's toolbar, the extension reads the page you are looking at, extracts the article text and images, and hands the result to the Notes app on your Mac. That work happens entirely on your Mac. The clipped page is not copied to the developer or to any third party.

Network activity

The only network requests Clip to Notes makes are to download the images on the page you chose to clip, so the finished note is complete and readable offline. Those requests go to the same web servers Safari was already loading that page from. The app has no server of its own and sends nothing anywhere else.

Where your clips live

Clips are saved into your Notes app, in the folder you choose (“Web Clips” by default). From that point they are ordinary notes: if you have Notes syncing with iCloud, they sync the way your other notes do, under your own Apple account settings. That is the Notes app's own behaviour, not something this app does or can see.

Website access

The extension has no standing access to any website. It reads a page at the instant you click its toolbar button, and at no other time. It does not run in the background, does not watch your browsing, and keeps no history of the pages you have clipped beyond the notes themselves.

No analytics, no third parties

There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising framework and no third-party service of any kind in this app. Nothing about you or your browsing is measured, stored off your Mac, sold, or shared. No data is used for tracking.

Children

Clip to Notes collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new revision date.
